Zoometric Turns Back The Clock!

Monday, September 11th, 2006

The stable was delighted at Belmont on Saturday when old warhorse Zoometric rolled back the years with a terrific win in the Well Built Australian Handicap over 1400 metres. It was a very competitive field, with the odds-on favourite Seafarer considered a racing certainty, but fortunately nobody had told Zoometric! He broke well, and settled nicely back in the field for Jason Whiting. At the 200 metre mark he moved up stylishly to the leader Storm Closure, and after a short battle, won well by a long neck.

Peter has received many plaudits on his training talents over the years, but to bring Zoometric back to winning form after 897 days, a history of injury problems, and a string of trainers, surely ranks amongst his greatest achievements. Zoometric has now won over $75,000 for his loyal owners since joining the stable. We look forward to further success!

Shake Your Bon Bon Goes To Bearcat

Monday, August 28th, 2006

Since her recent metro win, there has been considerable public interest in the breeding plans for Shake Your Bon Bon. After careful consideration, Peter is pleased to announce that she is to visit new season’s sire Bearcat at the prestigious Taunton Vale Stud, Dardanup, run by Kent and Nina Johnston. Bearcat was a high class sprinter in Hong Kong, winning 4 races and placed on 5 occasions from 1200 to 1400 metres, setting a class record over 1400. This has the makings of an exciting match, and we’ll all be interested in the outcome!
