Change In Time Grabs Belmont Win

/a>The stable only had one runner at Belmont’s mid-week meeting, CHANCE IN TIME in the Just Jugah Handicap over 1200 metres.

The early pace was set by Super Confident and Lomondside Lass, so Kyra Yuill settled CHANCE IN TIME just off the speed in 6th place. There was little change in the order until the field reached the cutaway at the beginning of the straight. Here the runners fanned across the course and Kyra got a super run on the inside rail to grab the lead 100 metres out. CHANCE IN TIME, under a strong ride from Kyra, had enough in reserve to repel the late challenge of the favourite Kenile and win by half a length.

As joint owner with long-time friend Ken Kingston, Peter was delighted with this richly-deserved victory, CHANCE IN TIME having been a rather unlucky horse throughout his racing career. It was good to see everything fall his way today. Change In Time Grabs Belmont Win
