Double at Narrogin

The stable took a small team for Narrogin’s Friday meeting.

Our first winner was EMBARRASSED in the Cuballing Roadhouse Handicap over 920 metres. Well-ridden by young apprentice Lucy Warwick, EMBARRASSED was always up with the pace, and stayed on well to win by 3/4 length, from the fast-finishing Tommy Two Toes. This was EMBARRASSED’s first win since coming from over east, and young Lucy’s second-ever winner. Let’s hope there are more wins for both horse and rider in the future.

After HENRY HOO finished a close 2nd in the 6th race, we had another winner in the www.Narroginracing.com.au Handicap over 1190 metres. Homebred RAYTAYA recorded a strong win, coming from the rear of the field on the turn to sprint past all his rivals and win by an easy 1 1/2 lengths. RAYTAYA is a bit of a Narrogin specialist, as this was his third victory at the course.

We were hoping to bring up the treble with ON TRUST in the last, but after leading he was caught close to home and finished 3rd. It was still a good day for the stable!
