Du Printemps Scores First Metro Win

DU PRINTEMPS ran in the ISM Handicap over 1000 metres at Ascot on Saturday.

As is usual in these sprints, Hot Tamale set off at a rate of knots, and soon had the field chasing hard. Jason Whiting settled DU PRINTEMPS at the rear of the field and waited until after the home turn before making a move. As the leaders compounded, DU PRINTEMPS charged down the outside to win by 3/4 length from the fast-finishing Ortessa.

This was the first Metro win for the fast-improving Oratorio gelding, and he should continue to give his owners John and Sharon Molloy a lot of fun in the coming months.
