GRAN VALOR breaks duck at Pinjarra

On Thursday GRAN VALOR was our representative in the Heytesbury Stud Maiden over 1409 metres. The Fath gelding had shown promise in all his previous starts, so was quietly fancied.

GRAN VALOR jumped well and was quickly settled into 3rd place by William Pike, just behind the pace-setters Mister Finch and Independent Mak. The gelding was travelling so well that William moved him up to Mister Finch on the home turn, and took up the running soon after. Despite all his rivals’ best efforts, GRAN VALOR kept going strongly all down the home straight, and won by an easy 1 1/2 lengths.

This was a really good effort by GRAN VALOR, who will no doubt give owner-breeders Sophie and Serge Madrigali lots of fun in the future.
