Mainden Win For Du Printemps

DU PRINTEMPS was a warm favourite for the Brett Smith Maiden over 1000 metres at Pinjarra’s mid-week meeting. The small field was led in the early stages by Twisted Force, with DU PRINTEMPS settled in 3rd place by jockey Clint Harvey. As the leader dropped away near the 200 metre mark, the rest of the field bunched, but DU PRINTEMPS stayed on strongly to win by a comfortable 3/4 length. This was a well deserved win for the Oratorio gelding, who has performed consistently throughout his first prep. His owner John Molloy should be eagerly looking forward to his next campaign.
