No Dangers For The Dane!

The stable was well represented at Pinjarra’s Sunday meeting, which was slotted in to replace the cancelled Bunbury event.

In the first race of the day, the Programmed Maintenance Services Handicap over 1406 metres, Jungle Hawk put in a brave front-running effort to finish a gallant 3rd to the classy mare Baltime.

Both Jomatesi and Isn’t She Gorgeous put in promising runs in their races, finishing close up to the place-getters.

In the last race of the day, the MIG Security Handicap over 1406 metres, Dangerous Dane was made favourite, which was not surprising after his unlucky run at Ascot last time out. As the field raced away from the barriers, Jarrad Noske had Dane well positioned just behind the pacemakers Raise A Light and Alabamerama. On the home turn Paul King, on Raise A Light tried to pinch the race and dashed 3 lengths clear. Dangerous Dane looked in trouble, but Jarrad Noske drove the horse after the leader, and in the shadow of the post he grabbed the verdict by a head. A terrific effort by horse and rider. It was a nice Christmas present for part owner Thea Mumme, who was on course to lead her winner in.
