Ragtrader Breaks Through At Bunbury

On Transpacific Raceday at Bunbury the stable had a good day, with a winner and two 3rds.

In the 1200 metre all age maiden our runner, RAGTRADER, was quietly fancied, with William Pike aboard. The Knowledge gelding was sent straight to the front by William, and this proved to be a winning decision. Several of RAGTRADER’s opponents tried to pass him but the horse, under his jockey’s hard riding, led all the way to win by a long neck.

RAGTRADER’s win ended an unlucky spell for the stable, and his victory gave Peter special pleasure as he had bred the horse, and shares ownership with his great friends, the Screaigh family.

Later in the meeting ZARATINO finished 3rd in the 1200 metre 3YO handicap, and LUKASTON also ran well to finish 3rd in the 2038 metre staying race.
