Peter has a very impressive strike rate, and averages well over 30 winners per year. Peter prefers to work with a carefully selected team of horses, to give owners the best possible winning chance.

One of the highlights of Peter’s training career was preparing Group 1 winner Early Express,  winner of four  Group races including the Group I Fruit n Veg Stakes, the Group II Cox Stakes, twice 2nd in the Group I Railway Stakes, beaten only a neck each time, and 3rd in the Group II 2006 Perth Cup. His total winnings exceeded $850,000 – not a bad return for a horse Peter bought for only $16,000!! In 2006 Early Express    was  the  highest-rated   horse  in WA and won  Horse of the Month, Older Horse of the Year and WA Horse of the Year awards for the 2005/6 season.

 

Peter’s own home-bred Saturday Metropolitan winners include Performance Plus, Just Les,
Scopaciri, Spirit Of Bunbury, Spirited Gem, Star Contender, Circle Valley,
and Sunshine Lad, and there have been many more midweek and provincial winners.
